Haibun Thinking: Week 4 – February 11th 2014

This week’s Haibun Thinking is “Freestyle” Week. This is to produce a Haibun with no prompt. After thinking about this, I felt this may not be helpful to everybody, so I decided that you can either use anything of your choice as a prompt, or if you have difficulty trying to get something to come to you, then you can use one of the prompts already used. I have included all six of the previous photos, art piece or quotes.

I would like to give Anja a mention as it is her birthday today, so Happy Birthday Anja, have a good day

The prompts are:

Film/Celebrity Prompt:

“Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.”
– Ferris Bueller’s Day Off

Literature Prompt:

Gathering her brows like gathering storm, Nursing her wrath to keep it warm
Robert Burns

  1. Looking forward to this weeks. BTW, in previous weeks the non dynamic links code was available but it doesn’t seem to be this week. When you blog is on wordpress.com not self hosted, only the non dynamic works.

    1. It took a lot of fiddling around as they have changed it all. Seems that WordPress and InLinkz decided to change things at the same time. Now, you have to select from the drop down menu on the right what code you want.

  2. Nice to have a free style week when I’ve a busy day today. I wrote the haibun included for another prompt but …it works. Best to all. Hopefully I can get to read some this week – when we are once again snowed in tomorrow…
